Midnight Oil....This well cared for lived aboard boat is up for sale for £33,000 ono. The boat was built in 1994 by J L Pinder and son. The interior of the boat has been tastefully fitted out with pine and oak throughout with the saloon and kitchen having been recently decorated to give it a more modern feel. She will have a ST3 engine with a recently reconditioned gear box. She has 3 leisure batteries and 1 starter battery. There is a 600w inverter that powers 240v appliances throughout the boat and 12v for lighting, water pumps etc. There is also a battery charger for mains or generator hook up.
Starting from the back of the boat you have a navigators table, with storage cupboards and tumble dryer (not on boat at present), next is the bathroom with bath/shower, sink with vanity cupboard above and below and for extra creature comforts a pump out toilet.
Next is the bedroom area with good-sized bed with posts and drapes with cupboards above and full length wardrobe. At the moment the boat is 2 berth but can easily be made 4 berth by the addition of a bed settee in saloon.
Leading on from the bedroom is the kitchen which has new worktops, sink, tiling all round and floor. Appliances in kitchen include - Electrolux gas fridge, Technogas gas cooker with four hobs and grill, washing machine and newly installed gas water heater. Leading out of the kitchen through an oak archway is the saloon which has, solid wood flooring, removal table, shelving to one side and corner unit/cupboard also used for TV area. The heating for the boat is provided by a 'Little Wenlock' stove that heats two large radiators along the boat. It’s the warmest place to be on a cold winters evening!
At the front is the gas locker that will fit 3 13.5kg gas bottles. I had the boat surveyed in 2007 and it passed with flying colours (report can be seen) safety certificate until 10/10.
This really is a lovely boat and will be much missed.... |

Quartet 25' Cruiser-Racer.
David Thomas designed quarter tonner with chinned fibreglass hull and vary spacious accommodation for it's size.
Moulded in 1983 for home completion and not launched until 1985. This one has been built as more of a cruiser than a racer. She has a huge cockpit locker under the port side cockpit seat and the mainsheet track is fitted across the aft end of the cockpit to keep the cockpit clear. She has also been fitted with an inboard diesel engine.
I acquired her a few years ago after a prolonged period of disuse and have been renovating her but my circumstances have change and I no longer have the time to complete the renovation. Most of the equipment is there it just needs bolting on. The interior is structurally complete and just requires a new deck head lining and some carpet gluing to the cabin sides in a couple of places (carpet to match the existing carpet is provided) externally she requires a repaint.
Accommodation:
She has a very long quarter berth on the Starboard side aft with a huge cockpit locker on the port side. There is another long berth in the main saloon and a V berth in the forepeak. There is a separate heads compartment and a galley and chart table. The interior is Light and spacious with plenty of nicely varnished woodwork and all cushions with blue upholstery.
Galley :
Galley consists of a gimballed cooker (two burners, oven and grill). There is a stainless steel sink and drainer with drain plumbed in (new drain fitting, hose and seacock) and a new fresh water hand pump. A brand new flexible water tank and all pipe work is included but not fitted.
Heads:
Skin fittings and seacock are fitted for a sea toilet but one is not provided. A new and unused chemical toilet is included with the boat.
Electrics:
Most of the 12v electrics have been removed. A brand new 6 ways distribution board and roll of appropriate twin core wire is included along with all the original interior lights. Bow and Stern nav lights are fitted but not wired up. Masthead combination tricolour/anchor light, steaming light and VHF aerial are fitted to the mast and in mast wiring is in. There is a brand new deck plug for the VHF Arial. Battery isolator switches are fitted but no cables or batteries.
Engine:
The boat is fitted with a Yanmar 8hp inboard diesel engine, believed to be in serviceable condition. It is installed and coupled to the prop shaft but the fuel and electrical systems have been removed. Engine wiring harness is provided. There is a stainless steel fuel tank fitted with deck filler.
Deck Gear:
Jib tracks and mainsheet track are fitted. Two sheet winches are fitted in the cockpit but the chrome is coming off these so they either need replacing or removing and taking to be re-plated. New ones are not expensive are they are only small winches. All halyards are led aft to cockpit. Jammers are provided but not fitted. Brand new Spinlock deck organisers are included but not fitted. New stanchion bases have been fitted. Pulpit, pushpit, stanchions and guard wires are fitted.
Rigging:
Mast and boom are in good condition. Standing rigging is good but of undetermined age (Stainless Steel and fairly large diameter for the size of boat). Headsail roller furling gear in good order. The main is slab reefing and the reefing lines run within the boom. Running rigging is serviceable but a little green in places where it has been exposed and would benefit from a wash.
Spray hood and Sails:
A spray hood with stainless steal frame in included, no significant damage. Main and Genoa are in good condition for age having been washed and valeted.
Inventory includes fenders, Anchor and chain, kedge anchor and assorted other bits.
